We started running a Stroke / Head Injury group in March 2009. The group runs on Wednesday afternoons from 2:00 till 4:00pm in term time only.
During the sessions we aim to challenge the person as a whole and address symptoms caused by the condition e.g. dysarthria and aphasia, tackle psychological effects e.g. depression, develop attention span, memory, increase awareness and the level of voluntary movement on the affected side, improve posture and symmetry, balance and co-ordination, walking technique, increase range and tempo of movements, improve confidence, fine manipulation, facial expressions and speech.
We also run block sessions, please take a look at the timetable to see when the next one is.
