Bill Wiggin MP is the Member of Parliament for North Herefordshire.
Having first been elected in place in 2001, Bill was returned for a third successive term last summer, winning over 51% vote.
He lives in Ledbury with wife Milly and their three children Rosie, Jack and Toby. The family has strong roots in the area: Bill’s father once farmed near Upton Upon Severn and Special Metals Wiggin Ltd was founded by his great grandfather.
Prior to being elected, Bill worked for Commerzbank as a manager in the Foreign Exchange department. He has also served in the Territorial Army with the Royal Welch Fusiliers and the Royal Yeomanry.
Bill is passionate about the countryside. Three years ago the Countryside Alliance made him their first Westminster Award winner in recognition of his dedication to farming, local produce and the rural community. Bill is also a Trustee of the Eveson Trust.
I remember Megan Baker coming to one of my first surgery’s and am incredibly proud to see the charity grow from strength to strength since it was first established in 2002.
The work offered by Megan Baker House is imaginative, inspiring and always of a very high quality and I feel honoured to be a part of it.
Megan Baker House is greatly valued across Herefordshire. The assistance offered here, to individuals of all ages and needs groups is not only commendable but invaluable.
I cannot praise all members of staff highly enough for the terrific and life-changing work they do on a daily basis.
I look forward to seeing this excellent charity continue to help improve the lives of those with learning difficulties across Herefordshire and beyond.
